Chart of Accounts

This guide explains how to manage the General Ledger accounts.

Managing Accounts

Navigate to General Ledger > Chart of Accounts.

Creating an Account

  1. Account Name: Descriptive name (e.g., "Office Expenses").
  2. Account Code: Unique number (e.g., 60001).
  3. Account Category: Select the high-level category (Asset, Liability, Equity, Income, Expense).
  4. Reporting Group: Select the specific group for financial statements (e.g., "Operating Expenses").
  5. Description: Optional notes.

Editing

You can edit account names and descriptions. Changing the Category or Code may be restricted if transactions exist.
